Duties and Responsibilities:

Successful candidates should have strong cognitive and interpersonal abilities, want to develop their professional and personal skills, and be motivated by the prospect of joining an entrepreneur-minded firm supported by a leading accounting and advisory platform.

As part of the PKF Investment Banking team you’ll be working hands-on with family- and founder-owned businesses in the lower middle-market and be given exposure to a wide range of industries. Over the course of the summer, you will work closely with the team in preparing analyses and valuation materials, participating in due diligence, supporting the execution of M&A transactions, in addition to ad hoc data and research requests related to our M&A processes and market tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare business, financial, and operational analyses to assist deal teams on transactions and internal deal processes
  • Analyze industry and company-specific information, including conducting detailed research and financial statement analysis
  • Collaborate with senior professionals and deal teams on all aspects of investment banking transactions
  • Develop marketing materials and client presentations while engaging with senior bankers, clients, lawyers. accountants and other industry professionals

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to develop meaningful relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field, with expected graduation in December 2026 or Spring 2027
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Working knowledge of financial statements and accounting information
    • Prior relevant internship experience considered a plus but not required

    Compensation:

    The compensation for this position ranges from $25.00 - $30.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications.
